Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Josh Hazlewood has shared insights on his comeback from injury, bowling strengths, and the balance within the RCB squad ahead of their IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals. The experienced fast bowler said it has been highly satisfying to return to action and contribute once again after spending significant time recovering.
Hazlewood explained that being away from cricket taught him patience during rehabilitation and the importance of returning only when fully fit. He emphasized that his primary goal was to come back stronger and perform at the highest level.
Speaking about his bowling method, Hazlewood said his biggest strength is consistently hitting a hard length and making scoring difficult for batters. He added that in T20 cricket, success often comes down to staying calm under pressure and executing plans with precision.
The Australian pacer also highlighted how aggressive batting in modern T20 cricket can sometimes work in a bowler’s favor. According to him, building pressure through dot balls often forces batters into mistakes and creates wicket-taking opportunities.
Hazlewood praised RCB’s bowling attack, calling it a balanced unit with plenty of variety. He believes each bowler brings different strengths, which makes the team more dangerous and also helps players learn from one another.
With Hazlewood finding rhythm again, RCB fans will be hoping their star pacer continues to deliver match-winning performances as the tournament reaches a crucial phase.
